Who Is My Art For?

Who Is My Art For?

Who Is My Art For?

It's a question I'm asked often.

"Who's it for?"

The simple answer?

Not everyone.

And that's exactly how it should be.

I don't create artwork simply to fill an empty wall. I paint for people who want to feel something every time they walk past a piece. People who believe their home should reflect who they are and what matters most to them.

Who's it for?

My artwork is for the adventurers.

The dreamers.

The optimists.

The people who believe life is meant to be lived fully, not just managed.

It's for the coaches who spend their days helping others grow.

The leaders who believe in possibility.

The personal development enthusiasts who have a bookshelf full of ideas, listen to podcasts on long walks, and know that growth rarely happens inside a comfort zone.

It's for the people who choose experiences over possessions, but understand that the right piece of art can become part of those experiences.

It's for those who value connection over perfection.

Joy over fear.

Wonder over routine.

If you've ever looked at a painting and hoped it could remind you to slow down, laugh more, dream bigger, or simply appreciate the life you're building, then perhaps my work is for you.

What's it for?

Art can certainly make a room look beautiful.

But I believe it can do so much more than that.

Every painting I create is intended to spark something within you.

Hope when life feels uncertain.

Connection to the people you love.

Courage to keep growing.

Joy in the ordinary moments that often become our most treasured memories.

I want my paintings to become gentle reminders.

To travel.

To celebrate.

To be present.

To choose adventure.

To laugh a little louder.

To keep becoming the person you're meant to be.

Because when we surround ourselves with things that reflect our values, they quietly shape how we feel every day.

More than decoration

One of the greatest compliments I've ever received came from a collector named Sam:

"I recently purchased Joy Looks Good on Us and absolutely love it. Tracy has an incredible ability to capture joy in her paintings, but what makes her work even more special is that she exudes that same joy herself.

Every time I look at this painting, I'm reminded to laugh more, celebrate life's moments, and embrace joy. A truly uplifting piece from a wonderful artist."

That is exactly why I paint.

Not simply to create something beautiful.

But to create something that continues to give long after it leaves my studio.

When someone tells me they smile every time they walk past one of my paintings, I know it's doing what it was created to do.

The homes my artwork belongs in

I imagine my paintings hanging in homes where life is lived.

Where friends gather around the dining table.

Where children dance through the hallway.

Where morning coffee is enjoyed slowly.

Where travel photos fill bookshelves.

Where conversations happen late into the evening.

Where people are building a life they love.

Art becomes part of those moments.

It quietly witnesses birthdays, celebrations, difficult conversations, fresh starts and everyday laughter.

That, to me, is far more meaningful than simply filling a blank wall.

Who isn't my art for?

Now for the cheeky bit.

If you're looking for artwork purely because it matches your couch...

...I'm probably not your artist.

(Although, can I gently suggest it's much easier to buy cushions that match the art than to buy art that matches the cushions?)

I believe artwork should lead the room, not follow it.

The best interiors are built around pieces that mean something.

Pieces that become conversation starters.

Pieces that make you pause.

Pieces that make your home feel unmistakably yours.

A sofa might last ten years.

A meaningful painting can become part of your family's story for generations.

Choosing art that chooses you

Buying original art isn't just another purchase.

It's often deeply personal.

Sometimes you don't even know why you're drawn to a painting.

You simply keep coming back to it.

I hear collectors say things like,

"I couldn't stop thinking about it."

"It made me feel something."

"It reminded me of my family."

"It just felt like us."

I think that's because the right artwork doesn't just fit your space.

It fits your story.

My hope

My hope is that every painting I create becomes more than something beautiful to look at.

I hope it reminds you to live fully.

To embrace joy.

To choose courage.

To stay curious.

To treasure the people around you.

To keep growing.

Because life is made up of thousands of ordinary moments.

If one of my paintings can help make those moments feel a little more joyful, hopeful or meaningful, then I know I've done what I set out to do.

And if, years from now, someone walks into your home, notices the artwork on your wall and asks, "Tell me about that painting," I hope the answer begins with a story.

After all, the best art doesn't just decorate a home.

It reflects the life lived within it.
