Go Out Laughing
Life moves fast. The days slide into weeks, the weeks blur into seasons, and before we know it, another year has passed. Yet within all that speed, there is something powerful we often forget. We are not here to simply get through life. We are here to live it. Fully. Joyfully. With people who make us feel alive.
My series Go Out Laughing was born from that truth. It is a reminder of what really matters. Every painting carries that spark of life we all crave. Colour, movement, and a sense of freedom that whispers one simple message. Make the most of the time you have. Laugh. Connect. Be with people.
When someone reaches the end of their life, their regrets are rarely about the risks they took. It is almost always the moments they didn’t allow themselves to enjoy. They wish they had been less serious. Less consumed by worry. Less concerned with what others thought. They wish they had let go. Let loose. Laughed more. Smiled more. Loved more. They wish they had surrounded themselves with people who lifted them up instead of holding everything in and pushing through life alone.
Laughter is free. Joy is free. Connection is free. A simple walk with a friend can shift the entire weight of a week. Sitting in a café with someone who gets you can bring you back to yourself. Saying yes to an invitation, even when you feel tired, can open space for joy to find you again. Making the effort to invite people into your life is never wasted energy. These are the moments that shape us. These are the moments we remember.
We live in a world that values productivity, structure, and seriousness. But the truth is this. We need lightness. We need colour. We need people who remind us to breathe. We need experiences that open our hearts. We need to laugh until something inside us softens and we feel human again.
The Go Out Laughing series is a celebration of that spark. It is a call to live life with courage. To stop holding ourselves back. To embrace joy in its simplest forms. To prioritise connection, even when life is full and the calendar is packed with responsibilities. To create memories that feel like sunshine on the skin.
Because one day, when we look back, it won’t be the deadlines or the worries that stand out. It will be the moments when we felt alive. The people we shared them with. The laughter that carried us. The joy that reminded us why we are here.
So go out laughing. Go out living. Go out surrounded by people who make you feel like yourself. Choose joy. It is always waiting for you.
